Monitored Systems
A monitored alarm system will transmit signals to an ARC (alarm receiving centre), a 24/7 professionally manned service centre with people who personally respond when an alarm is tripped and inform your local police authority.
YY Security Installations Ltd services can offer a number of different monitored alarm systems, please see listed below:
The Dual Com Range
DualCom GPRS, from CSL DualCom Limited, is an intruder alarm signalling device that uses both the Vodafone network and your telephone and/or IP path to transmit intruder, fire and personal attack signals at high speed.
Once the alarm is confirmed as genuine, the police are notified.
Utilising multiple signalling paths ensures that DualCom will always have a back-up path in the event of an accidental or deliberate fault on any path.
Since its introduction to the intruder alarm market in 1996, DualCom is officially recognised as the original and most widely used dual-signalling device in the UK.
Digital Communicator
The digital communicator is like a computer modem attached to your alarm system. The digital communicator passes digital data to a 24-hour alarm receiving centre who have the ability to respond to the signal in accordance with established police policy and your personal requirements.
Most communicators have 8 functioning channels but some use 16 and others employ what is called “Point iD” which means that the alarm receiving centre knows exactly which room is being illegally entered or which user is unsetting the system. “Point iD can pass various coded signals to the alarm receiving centre including:
- Fire alarm
- Intruder alarm
- Aborted alarm signal (should you make a mistake)
- Personal attack
- Opening and closing log for your business
- Alarm verification (if someone has entered your property and moves into another protected area)
